A formal invitation will be sent home this week and next.  

This is a required event and students must be present to receive full credit for their participation grade.

7th Grade 

7th Grade Students learned about textile art and fiber art last week.  We had scrap pieces of cloth that we dyed in various colors.  We added beads to the strips of cloth and hung them from a Chinese chop stick.  The fiber art projects turned out great!

8th Grade

In 8th Grade Art we are painting.  This past week, we learned about POP ART.  Students created paintings based on pop art comic paintings.

I really love these paintings and think the students put forth a great effort.

7th Grade will be working on clay fish over the next week and 8th grade will begin self portraits.

The 7th grade art students completed their paintings of roses in tempera.

8th Grade Art

8th Grade students finished their drawing unit last week.  The last project was flowers in oil pastels.  They will begin their painting unit this week.  We learned about pop art in class and the students are creating pop art portraits Roy Lichenstein style.
